When we think of Washington, Indiana, we think of Mason’s Root Beer Stand, an iconic spot that’s been here for 73 seasons.

Pros: Small Town Vibe: Everyone knows everyone, and there's a friendly atmosphere. Perfect if you want a close-knit community.
Cons: Limited Activities: If you're looking for lots of extracurricular activities, you might find it limited here. It's not Indianapolis, but that’s part of the small-town charm.
🎓 Schools:
Elementary Schools: Helen Griffith, North Elementary, Veale Elementary, and Lena Dunn.
The schools have restructured, grouping grades across the schools.
High Schools: Washington High School and Washington Catholic.
🍺 Mason’s Root Beer Stand:
History: Established in 1951, famous for its Coneys and root beer. Everything is made to order.
Favorites: Chicken sandwiches and amazing ice cream. Nothing healthy here, folks!
